The BEST Island Tour of St. Kitts Posted on: 2:12 pm, August 12, 2006 Without a doubt, Thenford Grey offers the BEST tour of St. Kitts. His friendly, but professional, demeanor added to his knowledge of the history of the island, where the island is today and where its going in the future is amazing. Thenford taught us so much about the island from how to cut sugar cane, the history and stories of Brimstone Fortress and showing us unique sites of St. Kitts from the 'triangle palm', the Black Stone Beach (I think that's its name) made from the cooling lava and so many other sites hidden to most. Personally, my husband and I have driven around the island and given ourselves a 'personal' tour...but nothing we saw or learned on this tour was duplicated from what we saw on our own. We had only touched the bare surface of this great island. Many places would have taken us months and months to discover...while many would have gone undiscovered on our own. If you live on St. Kitts, have visited many-many times or are just a first-timer...you would be remis if you didn't take Thenford's tour. The entire character of the island comes to life through this man's knowledge of our beautiful island. As a photographer, I knew ahead of time I'd want to take a lot of shots of the scenic areas as well as the parts of history I wanted to preserve. Thenford stopped at every point with a smile. What patience. Remember, going to Romey Manor, the Brimstone Fortress, the plantations and towns is great...but unless you hear the true history behind it all...they are just plants, a bunch of rocks, buildings and lots of sugar cane fields. Thenford's tour put it all together for us. Thenford Grey's van is fully airconditioned, seats 'a lot', is very clean and windows so clean that if you don't want to get out of the van...you can still take picture perfect photos 8) Just a note about his driving...very safe. Also, if you come in on a cruise ship his tour is better than any bauble you could purchase to remember your vacation. Awesome...awesome. ... contact Thenford Grey for your own guided tour… Hugs, A

Author: kattom Date: 12/07/2006 One of our ports on a recent cruise in November '06 was at St. Kitts. The highlight of our trip was our visit to this beautiful island. I had arranged by email with a private guide named Thenford Grey and we had a wonderful tour. He waiting for us when we got off the ship. He drove us around his island and we felt that we really experienced the very best that St. Kitts has to offer in a six hour time frame. We highly recommend Thenford to anyone wanting a wonderful tour of the island. He is an extremely interesting and gracious guide. I can’t imagine that taking pot-luck with a cab driver at the port could be anywhere near as good or as reasonably priced. We were so glad that we had arranged privately to take the tour rather than go along with the crowds or other tours on the cruise ship. While there is no guarantee that the tour will be as private as ours--but you will have the best guide possible.

www.cruisecritic.com August 11th, 2009, 11:36 AM We were in St. Kitts last November and toured with Thenford Grey. The tour was wonderful and Thenford could not have been nicer or more knowledgeable. We went to the Batik factory, Brimstone Fortress, and Cockelshell Beach with several photo stops in between. Thenford's van is new and very comfortable. He is highly intelligent and can answer just about any question that you might have about the island...It was great!!!
